DIY Dip Dyed Shirts – “Find Your Flock” with #STORKS

Finding your people, finding your flock … it's an essential part of growing up and becoming who you are as a person. Remembering back to junior high and high school, finding your flock could be really challenging. With our kids, we want them to easily find their people; the ones who make them feel comfortable and enable them to develop and express who they are as individuals. The ones who make them feel at home and part of the family.

This is the central message of STORKS, from the studio that delivered The LEGO Movie. STORKS, is in theaters everywhere this weekend! To celebrate our excitement for STORKS, we created these fun DIY dip dyed shirts with characters from STORKS. You won't miss spotting who's in your tribe when wearing these!

These DIY dip dyed shirts are a great activity for the whole family or for your kids and their “flock” to make together.

Here's what you'll need to make these DIY dip dyed shirts today:

• STORKS baby characters printable (click here to download)
• printable iron-on transfer paper
• tie dye kit
• white t-shirts, washed at least once
• iron
• plastic gloves
• plastic zip top bag
• basin
• water

Print out the baby characters from STORKS onto iron-on transfer paper. Each person can choose the baby they most identify with to add to their shirt. Dye the shirts with the two colors of dye that best match the colors of the baby's hair. Wash and dry the shirts, cut out the iron-on image, and iron onto the shirt. You can iron the baby images anywhere onto the shirt but Katie's “flock” chose the lower left side of the shirt. Don't they look cute?

With your shirts on and popcorn in hand, let's talk about STORKS! We all know that storks deliver babies … or at least they used to. Storks now deliver packages for a giant internet store called Cornerstone.

STORKS tells the story of Junior, the company's top delivery stork, and how he deals with accidentally turning on the Baby Making Machine, creating an adorable (but unauthorized) baby girl.

How will they find her a home? And not get caught by the boss in the process?
