We spotted Star Wars Galaxy's Edge being built in the distance from the top of the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad ride. Later as we left the Park, standing on the top floor of the Mickey & Friends Parking Structure, we could see the whole thing! My son couldn't wait to go and fantasized about our trip to Star Wars Land the entire car ride home.

As a mom and longtime Disney Annual Passholder, I expect long lines and lots of crowds due to the popularity of Star Wars. We have one shot to see Star Wars Land for the first time … and I'm determined to make these memories the best ever for me and my child.

When Does Star Wars Land Disneyland Open?

Star Wars Land, also known as Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, opens May 31, 2019 at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California. Exclusive advance access to Star Wars Land is available with a hotel reservation at the Disneyland Resort.

All other Disney ticket holders and Disneyland Annual Passholders will have access to Star Wars Land in late June 2019, without a reservation.

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is not available during Extra Magic Hour or Magic Morning at Disneyland Park.
